01 What it is

What INPYME is and which industrial investments it supports

INPYME is the Generalitat Valenciana's grant line for investment projects that reindustrialise the Valencia region. It can support industrial machinery, new production lines and technological modernisation in production sites in Valencia, Alicante and Castellón. It is not just about buying a machine: the application must explain what changes in the company, how each asset fits into the process and what impact it will have on capacity, competitiveness, innovation, sustainability and employment.

Investment

Create or expand

Creation of a new industrial establishment or expansion of the production capacity of an existing plant.

Transformation

Modernise processes

Incorporation or substantial improvement of machinery, equipment, installations and technology directly linked to production.

Growth

Diversify

New products, manufacturing lines or essential changes to existing production processes.

INPYME 2026: 853 projects and €49.24 million awarded

The resolution published on 21 July 2026 awarded €49,235,062.24 to 853 files. It also approved a reserve list for applications with 50 or more points that did not receive funding for lack of budget. It is a practical sign of the competition: meeting the requirements does not guarantee the award and the quality of the technical report matters. See the official resolution.

Call closed — 2027 conditions pending

The percentages, limits and requirements on this page correspond to INPYME 2026, the last published call. They are useful for preparing the project, but they must be confirmed when the Generalitat publishes the 2027 edition.

02 Eligibility

INPYME requirements for industrial SMEs

In INPYME, the sector fit and its documentary evidence are decisive. It is worth checking them before designing the investment.

Eligible applicants

  • Private SMEs with legal personality and registration in the corresponding registry.
  • Companies with at least one employee on the payroll when filing the application.
  • Productive industrial activity included in the admitted sectors and CNAE codes.
  • Investment carried out in productive establishments within a single municipality of the Valencia region.
  • A single project and a single application per company.

Not eligible

  • Natural persons, joint-ownership entities and entities without separate legal personality.
  • Companies that cannot evidence their industrial activity with the registry record and, where applicable, a Social Security report.
  • Projects without a direct, explained link to the industrial sector under which they apply.
  • Companies with no staff on the payroll or that do not qualify as an SME.
  • Companies barred from being beneficiaries or, for grants above €30,000, that fail to meet legal payment deadlines.

03 Sectors and projects

Sectors and CNAE codes admitted in INPYME

The 2026 edition distributed the budget among fourteen sector blocks. The CNAE code and the real relationship between the investment and the productive activity must fit the annex of the call.

Manufacturing

Production and materials

Metal-mechanical, plastics, chemicals, textiles, paper and printing, packaging, material recovery.

Habitat and consumer

Ceramics, glass, construction materials, leather and footwear, toys, sport, wood, furniture, lighting, marble and natural stone.

The agri-food sector had a special condition

In 2026, agri-food investments were only admitted in municipalities prioritised for depopulation. The next call will have to confirm whether it keeps this limitation and the list of municipalities.

Costs must be directly linked to industrial production, necessary for the project and compliant with the requirements on contracting, payment, commissioning and permanence.

Tangible assets

05 How and when

How to prepare the INPYME 2027 application

06 Frequently asked questions

Common questions about INPYME

What is the INPYME grant?

It is a grant from the Generalitat Valenciana for productive investment projects that drive reindustrialisation: creating an industrial establishment, expanding or modernising an existing one, diversifying production or introducing essential changes to processes.

Is INPYME open?

No. INPYME 2026 closed on 10 March 2026. A new edition is expected in 2027, but its dates and conditions will not be official until published in the DOGV and the BDNS.

When does INPYME 2027 open?

The Generalitat has not yet published the 2027 call. For reference, the 2026 edition was published on 12 February and accepted applications from 16 February to 10 March. Preparing the report and the quotes before publication makes the most of a short window.

How much does INPYME fund?

In 2026 it covered 30% of eligible costs, or 40% when the whole investment was made in a municipality prioritised for depopulation, with a maximum of €200,000 per SME.

Who can apply?

Private SMEs with legal personality, at least one employee and a productive industrial activity included in the admitted sectors and CNAE codes. The investment must be carried out in productive establishments within a single municipality of the Valencia region.

What is the minimum investment?

In 2026 the minimum eligible budget was €20,000 excluding VAT. It dropped to €10,000 for sport, biotechnology, audiovisual production and video game production.

Which sectors are covered by INPYME?

The last edition included automotive, defence, aeronautics, semiconductors, biotechnology, audiovisual and video games, agri-food with territorial limitations, ceramics, glass, industrialised construction, leather and footwear, packaging, toys, sport, habitat, marble, metal-mechanical, paper and printing, plastics, chemicals, textiles and material recovery. The specific CNAE code must be checked in the official annex.

Which costs does it cover?

Among others, machinery and production equipment, substantial improvements of existing assets, software and intangible assets linked to production, patents and designs, certifications, necessary industrial engineering and the justification audit, within the limits of the call.

How are projects scored?

In 2026 the company, the motivation and technical description of the project, and its impact on competitiveness and innovation, sustainability and social aspects were assessed. At least 50 points were required, plus minimum thresholds in each block.

Can second-hand machinery be purchased?

The 2026 call admitted it under specific requirements on price, origin and seller accreditation. It will have to be confirmed whether the 2027 edition keeps these conditions.

Can self-employed workers apply?

Not in the 2026 call. Natural persons and joint-ownership entities were excluded; the applicant had to be a private SME with legal personality and registry registration.

When can the investment start being paid?

In 2026, as a general rule, costs paid from 1 January 2026 until the justification deadline were admitted, plus an exceptional case for certain payments for new assets made in 2025. Do not assume 2027 will repeat that calendar until its call is published.
